- What age groups do you cater to?
- We welcome children from 9 months to 4 years old. Our facilities and staff are specially trained to provide appropriate care and development activities for each age group.
- What are your operating hours?
- Our nursery operates Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. Please contact us directly for specific opening and closing times as well as information about holiday periods.
- How is the funding through NEG scheme worked out?
- The Nursery Education Grant (NEG) scheme covers the majority of childcare costs for eligible children. The exact funding amount depends on your circumstances and the number of hours your child attends.
- What does a typical day look like at your nursery?
- Our daily routine includes structured play, learning activities, meal times, nap times, and outdoor play (weather permitting). We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework to ensure your child's development across all key areas.
- What meals do you provide?
- We provide a healthy, balanced lunch for which there is a small charge. All meals are freshly prepared and can accommodate various dietary requirements and allergies. Please discuss any specific dietary needs with our staff.
- How do you handle the settling-in period?
- We offer a gradual settling-in period tailored to each child's needs. This typically involves short visits with parents initially, gradually building up to longer sessions. This helps children adjust comfortably to their new environment.
- What is your staff-to-child ratio?
- We follow Ofsted guidelines for staff-to-child ratios: 1:3 for children under 2 years, and 1:4 for 2-3 year olds. This ensures each child receives the attention and care they need.
- How do you keep parents updated about their child's progress?
- We provide daily updates about your child's activities, meals, and naps. We also conduct regular development assessments and parent-teacher meetings to discuss your child's progress in detail.
- What security measures do you have in place?
- Our nursery has secure entry systems, CCTV, and strict pick-up procedures. Only authorized individuals with proper identification can collect children, and we maintain detailed arrival and departure records.
